Plans are currently underway to turn Bath pink this October to help raise funds and awareness for breast and all other types of cancer. Bath Mayor Fiorella Mirabito is putting together a full line-up of events and fundraisers to get the entire community (Bath and beyond) involved in helping to raise funds for the American Cancer Society. A meeting will be scheduled in the very near future asking for volunteers to help on all committees.

Each weekend will hold a different event here in the borough and fundraising will kick off in the near future with the start of sales for shirts featuring the unique logo for the event. Planned events include a Pink Heals Tour which features pink fire trucks dedicated to survivors and their supporters, a blood drive, pink pet costume parade, a 5K run/walk, a human ribbon with aerial photography, a pink auction, and pink ribbons all over town. While many events are still in the planning stages, the date for the 5K has been set for Oct. 11 at 9 a.m. More details will be available as events are set.

The first will be the sale of pink T-shirts and hooded sweatshirts. Order forms will be available at the following businesses for those interested: Town & Country Restaurant, Wunderler’s Market, Daily Grind, S. Seem Antiques, Bath Drug, Bath Social Hall, Ahart’s Market, Hayes Flowers, Learn N Play, LLC, Learn N Play 2 School Care, Southmoore Pharmacy, My Place Pizza Restaurant and the Borough Municipal office.
