Meet the Staff

Bill Halbfoerster, Editor (Since 1955)

He started working on the Home News back in 1946 at the age of 16, setting type by hand. After serving in the Army from 1952 to 1954, Bill took over as editor when the former editor Rev. Reginald Helfferich left in 1955 to serve as executive church of Church World Service. Bill’s job is more than an editor. He serves as a reporter for the Bath-Northampton-Nazareth areas as well and continues at age 81. He looks forward to serving our readers’ needs for many years to come.
